Resumes

Your resume is a self-promotional document that presents you to a company for the purpose of getting a job interview.

Make sure you have your full name and contact details visible and that your resume is up to date.

Focus on your accomplishments and any skills you have obtained relevant to the position for which you are applying.

No matter how short the employment period - if you acquired important skills or experience, put them in your resume.

Try to keep your resume to 3 pages, i.e. the last 10 years of your work history (unless your previous experience is relevant to the position you are seeking).

Do not use fancy paper.  Always use white paper – it is easier for the the reader to view and photocopy.

Resume Example

•  Unload delivery trucks using a forklift and place stock in the appropriate area
•  Verify goods delivered match those requisitioned
•  Schedule the routine maintenance of forklifts
•  Liaise with suppliers/truck drivers regarding allocation of loading times and quarantine
   requirements for goods as well as co-ordinate stock deliveries
•  All ad hoc stores duties
