Resigning

Always tender your resignation in writing.

Your letter of resignation is a written record of the date you resigned, how much notice you gave, and your last day of employment.

Giving Notice
It is important to give your employer notice so that they are able to make arrangements to replace you.  In most cases, you are required to give your employer notice.  Make sure you meet these requirements of your employment conditions.  When you resign from a job you should also be paid any accrued leave and other entitlements owing to you.
